ABOUT ~ Stefani St. John
Meet Stefani St. John, a passionate Business Development Manager and dedicated Volunteer Community Health Educator representing The Care Team Home Health & Hospice. Stefani’s educational background in Natural Medicine and Psychology may seem unconventional for her role, but her innate talents in sales and relationship building have naturally drawn her to this vital field. With nearly a decade of invaluable experience within the senior living industry, Stefani possesses a wealth of knowledge and a versatile skill set that spans various roles.
Throughout her career, Stefani has worn numerous hats, showcasing her adaptability and expertise in the senior living sector. Her extensive resume includes positions in management, both internal and external sales and marketing, financial sales, specialized training in dementia care approaches and de-escalation techniques, as well as the development and facilitation of comprehensive staff training and educational programs. In addition to her professional endeavors, Stefani extends her outreach to the community, educating individuals on understanding and navigating senior benefits and eligibility criteria.
Originally hailing from Texas and growing up in Indiana, Stefani has called Michigan home for nearly a decade. Remarkably, she managed a large restaurant franchise beginning at the young age of sixteen, making her the youngest manager in the establishment’s history. Her journey continued as she assumed the role of a corporate trainer, overseeing individuals twice her age, earning their respect through hard work and dedication. Later, Stefani worked in a family business alongside her grandfather and mother at one of the largest independently owned collision repair centers, where she absorbed invaluable lessons about leadership, sales and marketing through her grandfathers “old school” approach – the philosophy that being the best at what you do and treating people with the utmost respect was the key to earning their business.
These formative experiences have profoundly influenced Stefani’s personal and professional approach, fueling her passion for seniors and medical sales. Her journey from the ground up has yielded a treasure trove of experiences, lessons, and resources that have shaped her into the exceptional home health and hospice advocate she is today.
Stefani’s outstanding performance in the field can be attributed to the rock-solid foundation of trust and enduring partnerships she has cultivated over her career. She is widely respected in her community for her unwavering commitment to helping people access the care they need and connect with the right resources. Stefani’s true passion lies in educating seniors and their partners about healthcare planning before crises arise, empowering them with knowledge and resources as they gracefully age in place and navigate end-of-life care. She makes the process easy, so families can focus on the time they have with their loved one.
Known as the dependable right-hand person to her colleagues and accounts, Stefani consistently goes above and beyond to provide unwavering support to residents, patients, and families precisely when they need it most. Her character is defined by her genuine dedication to guiding individuals through the complexities of senior living, care goals, and end-of-life comfort. Whether connecting them with essential resources or serving as a compassionate family advocate, Stefani is always there when assistance is required.
Stefani excels at streamlining the admission process for home health or hospice care, alleviating the overwhelm for families, patients, and referral sources. Her commitment to expediting the process ensures that families and patients can rely on her to handle their needs efficiently.
When Stefani isn’t immersed in her professional responsibilities, she enjoys a fulfilling life in Grand Ledge, Michigan, alongside her son, Kylur, and her fiancé, Patrick. Outside of work, she finds joy in exploring both domestic and international travel, showcasing her deep appreciation for culture and culinary arts. Stefani’s gourmet cooking skills and her knack for seeking out unique local and international experiences are a testament to her zest for life beyond the healthcare industry.
