BIO ~ Stephen Paul
Co-Founder Whiskey Del Bac
He grew up in Baja Arizona with a love for the desert and a strong sense of place. He has long been close to mesquite trees. In the 1980’s he started using the beautiful grain of that desert tree in his long-time furniture design company Arroyo Design.
In the mid-2000’s, while barbecuing with mesquite scraps from Arroyo Design, his wife Elaine had the idea to dry malt over a mesquite fire for a true Sonoran Desert single-malt whiskey.
That idea grew into Whiskey Del Bac, founded with their daughter Amanda in 2011. Made only from barley, water and yeast, mesquite-smoking the whiskey conveys a love of the desert that has inspired Stephen from boyhood.

BIO ~ Janna Hoffman
Manager Whiskey Del Bac
As for me, I am more of a sidekick in the story of Whiskey Del Bac. I simply evangelize about this spirit.
I learned of Whiskey Del Bac around 2019 and fell in love with the story and the whiskey itself.
When a tour guide position opened up in early 2021, and I was overjoyed when they asked me in for an interview. That part time position has since turned into a full-time career for me and I could not be happier.
