I studied literature at Suny Oneonta but took time off in the 1970s to travel through Europe, where I was deeply moved by the art, architecture, and a spiritual encounter that planted seeds of faith. Upon returning, I shifted focus to art education at SUNY New Paltz, where I experienced a life-changing turn toward God. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Art Education and later completed a master’s in special education.
