BIO ~ Dr. Amina Simmons
Licensed Psychologist
“Dr. A,” is a licensed psychologist with a PhD and master’s in counseling psychology.
She is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional whose experience spans research, clinical work, executive leadership, and community board participation (The Salvation Army, George Gervin Preparatory Academy, Vital ant).
Applying a strengths-based model of partnership, Dr. A builds strong relationships by empowering others to maximize their potential and walk in their purpose.
Enough4Today began with a simple but radical realization. The prescribed clinical systems I once worked within were not built to serve my community or my clinical vision authentically. After a brief hiatus in 2022, I returned to my work as a Counseling Psychologist with a new mission: to serve clients on my own terms. My journey started in Utah, where I partnered with the Black Physicians of Utah to provide holistic and culturally resonant care. Expanding my practice into Arizona by 2024, I quickly realized the demand for my skills and the widespread need for Black mental health professionals.
As of January 2026, Enough4Today provides telehealth services across 43 states through the PsyPact Authority (APIT). As a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and Health Service Psychologist, my work is rooted in depth. Whether I am navigating complex trauma with a client or consulting with researchers to refine culturally sensitive mental health curricula, my goal remains the same. I am dedicated to providing high quality, representative care. While I serve clients of all backgrounds, I am especially proud to provide a dedicated space for Black women seeking a Black female psychologist who truly understands their lived experience. At Enough4Today, we believe that relational well-being is not just a goal. It is the foundation of a life well-lived.
Enough4Today is a private practice providing therapy, coaching, and consultation to those seeking improved relationships. After a brief hiatus in 2022, I founded this practice to offer care on my own terms. Today, we serve 43 states via PsyPact through regulated telehealth.
As a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, I specialize in supporting Black women while welcoming all backgrounds.
Following a 2025 growth spurt, we are now expanding into the social media space to build a community centered on the belief that relational well-being is critical to a life well-lived.
