BIO ~ Sara Mirasola

Sara is a multi-talented artist, actor, comedian, crafter and performer. Born in San Francisco, raised in central Pennsylvania, studying in Northern Virginia, moving to AZ from Baltimore, she’s lived many places & has traveled all over the world for modeling and photography.

She is a published author of essays and poetry. She currently holds the title of 4x champion of Best of San Francisco Virtual Comedy Night and is studying under Brian Kohatsu at Stir Crazy Comedy Club in Phoenix for the summer.

I’ve worked many jobs in my lifetime! I started working at 11. My first jobs were working with children, and plants and animals. I started making jewelry when I was nine, and by high school I had a definitive style and sold my pieces to friends and even teachers at school. Currently I make a lot of crafty pieces; I knit, crochet, do wire wrapping, beading, I sew, I make hats, I love to costume.

I’ve been hired as a make-up artist, special effects artist, graphic designer, media manager. I’ve been hired as a model, photographer, creative director, showrunner, PA, grip. I have a lot of experience just doing all the odd jobs that need to be done. I’m really good at seeing the big picture while fine combing the minute details.

When organizing a show, I put all of my creative focus and drive into creating an impactful experience overall. I bring a lot of my life experience and jack of all trades mentality to how I approach comedy. I currently do standup shows as well as performative shows, including my last produced show, “and sometimes why?” Which featured the character “The Pawlitical Cat Lady” and purr-formences of original cat parody songs.

Currently I perform comedy in Tucson, Phoenix, and different cities I travel to for my modeling and photography work. I’m working on preparing my website to be a full stop shop to see my performances, buy art prints or one-of-a-kind handmade pieces.

I’m working on transitioning from full time model to full time photographer and occasional model. My photography has recently been shown in juried shows in Tucson and Detroit and published in ION magazine.

Meet today’s Guest Host:

Nicholas Rivera

I was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona. I went to Tucson High, Pima College and Graduated from the University of Arizona’s School of Theatre, Film and Television. I was an actor for just over 11 years. I was in several local commercials, infomercials and was in the movie Confessions of a Dangerous Mind. After a lot of soul searching and endless auditions. I decided that my talents were best behind the camera either writing, directing, producing and more recently Film Composing.

I’ve worked in the entertainment industry for over 20 years. I’ve been an active film composer for the last 10 years working on various projects. Beit web based, promotional or recently films Indy films like Just desserts, Witchery and Interror. I’m also a paid reviewer for SampleLibraryReview.com, where I review sample libraries and give the pros, cons and advice for how to get the most out of the products. I’ve been in numerous prestigious contests including HBO’s- Westward, CW’s- Star Girl, Netflix’s- Bridgerton and Trailer music for the independent movie Tellurian.

I’m currently writing a collection of serials that I would like to publish in graphic novel form and compose music for them and create a play-a-long experience. Very much harkening back to the days of old radio shows where listeners heard the story in a cinematic way. I even tasked Ben Freeze to help on one of the serials, called A Hell of a Way to Go.
