Bio ~ Dr. Norman Stewart  

Physicist, a graduate of Trinity College Dublin and a Doctor of Philosophy from Edinburgh University. 

Born 1953, Dr Stewart is a physicist, a graduate of Trinity College Dublin and a Doctor of Philosophy from Edinburgh University.  

He trained as a meteorologist with the UK Met Office.  
Following his scientific work, Norman moved into engineering, working mainly in the Aerospace industry.  He co-founded the companies Nowcasting International Ltd. and Airtel ATN Ltd. in Ireland. Nowcasting International distributed meteorological data to users in industries such as offshore oil and gas, ferries and road transport; the company was sold to the Pearson Group in 2012.  

Airtel ATN develops software for air traffic control and supplies its software to aircraft manufacturers and air traffic control agencies around the globe.
