BIO ~ Nicole Iny

Nicole Iny is the Executive Director of Grants and Consumer Education at FAIR Health, a national, independent nonprofit organization that qualifies as a public charity under section 501(c)(3) of the federal tax code.

FAIR Health possesses the nation’s largest collection of private healthcare claims data, which includes over 44 billion claim records. It is dedicated to bringing transparency and integrity to healthcare costs and health insurance information through data products, consumer resources and health systems research support.

FAIR Health uses its database to power a free consumer website (fairhealthconsumer.org) available in English and Spanish, which enables thousands of consumers weekly to estimate and plan for their healthcare expenditures and offers a rich educational platform on health insurance.

An English/Spanish mobile app offers the same educational platform in a concise format and links to the cost estimation tools.

At FAIR Health, Ms. Iny directs FAIR Health’s grants and consumer education program, including the implementation and evaluation of grant-funded consumer-oriented initiatives that, for the last several years, have sought to advance healthcare cost transparency, health insurance literacy, healthcare consumer engagement and healthcare navigation and decision making among thousands of insured and uninsured individuals at the local, state and national levels.
