BIO ~ Charlie Paige  

Sr. Director of Disability Program Services at the Tucson J 

Charlie Paige was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona. During college he worked in group homes and coached Special Olympics.  

These experiences helped develop a passion for working with youth and adults with developmental disabilities. After fifteen years working as a teacher, non-profit director, and summer camp director, Charlie reconnected with the Tucson J and its Disability Program Services and is honored to lead its mission-based day programs, Taglit and Arts for All.

BIO ~ Vero Trujillo  

Director of Taglit at the Tucson J 

Veronica Trujillo, known as “Vero” to her community, is the Director of the Tucson J’s Taglit Day Program for adults with all abilities.  

Vero came to the J with 14 years of experience in the care field, and for the last eight years has lent her experience to Taglit in various roles, serving as Director for the last two. Vero is passionate about making a difference for program participants and enjoys facilitating the day-to-day operations, as well as supporting staff.

BIO ~ Missi Alston  

Director of Arts for All at the Tucson J 

Missi is the Director of Arts for All at Tucson JCC. Her 10+ year career extends across business strategies, organizational development, operations, and arts administration.  

Missi is a formerly trained dancer, and holds certificates as an Integrative, Professional & Self-Actualization Coach and is a trauma informed yoga instructor.  She combines her certified areas of expertise to successfully bring a human-centered approach to business management strategies.  

She is most passionate about continuing to make the arts fully accessible to individuals who may not otherwise have the opportunity.

About the Host:

Todd Rockoff – President and CEO of Tucson JCC

Todd Rockoff, President and CEO of Tucson JCC, has had a 36-year career in the Jewish Community Center (JCC) field. He has been a frequent trainer and guest speaker at JCC Association Professional Conference and Biennial. Todd co-led the development and implementation of many national pilot programs for JCCs, such as: Discover @ the J, Discover CATCH, Talent Management, JCC Maccabi Access, JCulture, and Women inPower. Most recently, Todd has focused on advocating for inclusion programs, practice.

Overall, Todd Rockoff has had a 36-year career in the Jewish Community Center (JCC) field. Todd became the President and CEO for the Tucson JCC in July 2013. After achieving his bachelor’s degree in recreation, leisure studies, and education from the State University of New York at Cortland, he began his career at Scranton JCC in Pennsylvania, in 1985.  

From 1995 – 2001, Todd was the Assistant Executive Director and then Executive Director for Calgary JCC in Canada. After that, Todd became the Executive Director for the Shaw JCC of Akron in 2002 – 2013.

I grew up at the JCC in Rochester, NY, went to day and overnight camp and then began working at the JCC. Once I started working at the J and saw the impact you could make on the lives of others I was hooked. I graduated from college and immediately began working as a professional at the JCC in Scranton.  

I am blessed to have loved doing what I do every day and inspired to keep learning and growing every day. The Tucson JCC sees itself as the town square of the community.
