Michael joined Calyxt as a Director and was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer in July 2021. Michael brings more than 20 years of business, financial, and operational leadership experience to Calyxt.
He was previously the Vice President of M&A, Strategy, and Innovation at Darling Ingredients, Inc., a global developer, and producer of sustainable natural ingredients and renewable energy. He obtained his M.B.A. from the Graziadio School of Business and Management at Pepperdine University, and he also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from California State University – Northridge.

Travis brings over 15 years of experience in the agricultural industry and technology innovation to Calyxt.
Travis received his B.S. in Horticulture from Penn State University, M.S. in Plant Breeding and Plant Genetics from the University of Wisconsin, Ph.D. in the Plant Biology and Biotechnology Program at the University of Delaware and DuPont/Pioneer, and an M.B.A from the University of Chicago – Booth School of Business. Prior to joining Calyxt, Travis held science and innovation leadership roles at major U.S-based agricultural corporations.
