Global Strategist for IBM 

Salima Lin leads global strategy for IBM’s consulting business and drives the firm’s Transformation to Grow program, translating strategic vision into operational execution.  

She brings this same strategic discipline to her role overseeing IBM Consulting’s acquisition agenda, ensuring investments remain a key contributor to profitable growth.  Salima also oversees IBM’s Institute for Business Value (IBV), aligning thought leadership with the topics that matter most to our clients.  

With more than 25 years of management consulting and leadership experience, Salima has advised numerous Fortune 500 companies on business and operating strategies, transformation initiatives, new business models, and process optimization.  She currently serves on the Board of Directors for APQC, the authority in benchmarking, best practices, process and performance improvement, and knowledge management.  

Salima holds a master’s degree in health policy and administration from Harvard University and a bachelor’s degree in business administration and biology from Simon Fraser University.
