BIO ~ Claudia Tovar
Claudia was born and raised in Tucson, AZ. While in high school, she discovered her love for filmmaking after creating short videos with friends for YouTube. She attended Northern Arizona University and graduated in 2020 with a BA in Creative Media and Film and minor in Communication Studies.
After graduating from NAU, Claudia began working on film sets as a Production Assistant. Her first job landed her on the documentary ‘The Thief Collector’. She got to experience first-hand what it means to work in the industry. While working on this set, she worked closely with the 1st AD. That is when she discovered her interest in assistant directing.
The following year, she worked on three westerns, ‘The Warrant: Breaker’s Law’ and ‘Far Haven’ as a talent assistant and ‘The War Between’ as a 2nd AD. While working closely with the 2nd AD, she helped manage the cast and kept schedules of day-to-day tasks. Claudia has worked on commercials for the Desert Diamond Casino and American Express. She also worked on reality tv shows such as ‘Life is a Ballroom’, ‘Carnival Eats’, ‘Darcy and Stacey’, and ‘Ghost Adventures’.
In 2022, Claudia was approached by Director Ben Freese and Producer Zachary Rhein to work on the film ‘In Terror’. This would be her first time working as a 1st AD. She took her experience and applied it to this position. The film was shot in 8 days and went on to premiere at the Loft Cinema in May 2023. Claudia continues to work on film sets and is learning new skills such as editing and photography.

About Zach Rhein:
Zachary or Zach for most people is originally from Spokane, Washington and developed a love of the arts at an early age. One of my earliest experiences making movies was helping on a music video a friend.
I then moved down to Tucson, AZ where I continued my love of the arts and joined the theater department. While I didn’t pursue acting I rediscovered my love of filmmaking and am ready to become the local mogul.
While I may not have decades of experience handling a full fledge business, I make up for it in my drive and determination and am willing to learn from the school of hard knocks.
My current business is In Flight Productions, a local film production company ready to make high quality movies of all genres that give people a chance to see themselves in the movie.
