Biography ~ Chuck Swedrock 

Actively volunteering with Southern Arizona Veterans Association Health Care Services (SAVAHCS) and Be Connected / End Veteran Suicide (EVS) initiatives. 

Grew up with erratic childhood experiences in Penna. Was HS Valedictorian 1964; BSc in CompSci, Penn State 1969; MBA, Univ. of Rochester 1975; MSW, Roberts Wesleyan Univ. 2004. Drafted USMC, 1970-71. Employed Xerox Corp. in software development & management, 1969, 1972-2011. 

Have had meta-physical / spiritual experiences since early childhood. Had a dramatic, life changing transpersonal experience following a brother’s suicide in 1985. Had a death-experience with full non-corporeal conscious in 2002 (required 4.5 units of plasma and 2.5 days to reinhabit body). 

Began sharing group in Rochester in early 1990s, joined International Association for Near-Death Studies (IANDS) as a professional member in 1996.  Joined the IANDS board as Groups Coordinator, 2005-2011. Rejoined board 2017-2022 and launched IANDS Sharing Groups Online (ISGO) after Covid forced closing of most in-person local meetings. 

Am now actively volunteering with Southern Arizona Veterans Association Health Care Services (SAVAHCS) and Be Connected / End Veteran Suicide (EVS) initiatives to focus on reducing the high level of suicides among active military and veteran members.

BIO ~Bonita (Bonnie) Lohman 

Past chairman of Tucson IANDS 

Over my career I worked in hospital nursing after graduating and becoming an RN. Worked in L&D, then clinic. Then I became an Ob Gyn Nurse Practitioner graduating from the U of A. License # 36 in the state.  
 
Started Ironwood Medical Associates with other medical professionals. Was actively involved in starting an IVF (in vitro fertilization) program which resulted in the first IVF baby in Tucson. Retired after 36 years in the medical field. 

Tucson IANDS speaker series meets at Unity of Tucson, 3617 N Camino Blano the second Friday of the month from October through June. Admission is $10 for general public, $5 for IANDS members.
