BIO ~ Sarah Dillingham 

Sarah is currently the Sr. Director of Product Design & Sr. Meteorologist leading the team responsible for helping communicate IBHS’s science to a wide range of audiences.  
 
Prior to joining IBHS, she spent nearly 9 years at The Weather Channel where she served as a Senior Weather Producer, producing for several shows, including the popular Weather Underground show and the WXGeeks Podcast.  
 
She has also worked as a weather producer at CNN in Atlanta and spent time as an on-air broadcast meteorologist at The Weather Channel and KLBK in Lubbock, TX.  
Sarah has been active in the American Meteorological Society where she served as a member of the Membership Committee and was also selected to be part of the society’s inaugural class of the Early Career Leadership Academy.  
 
She holds a B.S. in Geography with a concentration in Atmospheric Sciences from the University of Georgia and a M.S. in Atmospheric Science from Texas Tech where she participated in the 2009-2010 seasons of the VORTEX2 project.  
At Texas Tech, her research work focused on the upscale growth of high precipitation supercells to mesoscale convective complexes.
