I am a Nevada native, my family and I just moved here in January. I have never lived anywhere else my entire life, so adjusting to Tucson life has been interesting! I have 2 kids, my daughter Remmi and my son Rueger. I enjoy spending time with my family and I recently got into hunting which has been an exciting challenge!
Most of my workforce history has been spent in the medical field until 6 years ago when I transitioned to the insurance world.
Prior to Aflac, I owned a Famers Insurance Agency in Nevada for 5 years. I actually fell into that role by chance! I thought I was applying to for a receptionist job for the local farmers office and the district manager offered me an agency owner role once I became licensed. At that point in life, I had always been an employee, never an employer, so there were a lot of learning curves and struggles that I overcame.
Not only did I learn a lot of business and professional skills, but also a lot about myself personally. I believe it has really helped me grow in all aspects of life. I considered opening a Farmers agency when we moved here, but I honestly wanted to try a different avenue of insurance, which lead me to discover Aflac!
I have heard and known of Aflac for a long time because of my mom, she has been a policy holder for years. Funny story, my mom’s Aflac agent came to me like 10 years ago saying I should interview and she thinks I’d do well in the insurance industry. Well I was in my 20s at the time and becoming an insurance agent was NOT cool. Haha. So I blew off her offer and went on my way discovering my own path. Funny how I ended up in insurance, specifically Aflac, years down the road.
I am here locally in Tucson, our regional office is located on Oracle. I meet with local business owners to learn more about their business and go over the details of including Aflac in their benefits package or help them start a benefits package if they currently don’t have anything in place. Let’s face it, major medical insurance is expensive for everyone- employer and employee costs… sometimes it’s just not feasible for anyone! My goal is to offer voluntary benefits through employers that can help ease the costs of life!
Aflac is designed to help give you cash benefits for sickness or injuries. We pay you the policy holder! Not the doctors and hospitals like major medical does.
